tagsurfer respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to permanently delete your tagsurfer account, what happens to your data when you do, and who to contact if you need help.
1. How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your tagsurfer account and all associated data directly from within the app:
Open the tagsurfer app and go to your Profile.
Tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Confirm your request. We’ll send a confirmation email to your registered address — click the link in that email to finalize the deletion.
Once confirmed, your account and associated data are permanently deleted within [X days — confirm actual number].
No app access? Email privacy@tagsurfer.com from the address linked to your account and request deletion — we’ll verify your identity and process it manually.
Requesting account deletion permanently removes:
a) Account information
Name, email, username, password hash
b) Profile content
Your personal profile and any business profile(s), including uploaded photos, text, and content
Beacon-to-profile links (TG.one, TG.pro, TG.bee)
c) Preferences & history
Consent preferences and saved app settings
Support inquiry history
d) Device & technical data
[confirm: IP address, device identifiers, activity/log data — deleted outright, or already anonymized per your retention schedule?]
Some limited data may be kept after account deletion where we have a legal or operational reason to do so:
Transaction/purchase records — retained for X years for tax and legal compliance
Aggregated, de-identified analytics that can no longer be linked to you
[confirm: anything else required by law, fraud prevention, etc.]
Everything not listed above is deleted in full — nothing else is kept.
For more on how we collect and use your data before deletion, see our Privacy Policy. For deletion requests or questions about this process, contact privacy@tagsurfer.com.
